High One Awakes

Following the early morning shot The High One Sleeps, I stayed by the edge of Wonder Lake, hoping for one last glimpse of Denali. The fog settled in, alpenglow touched the peaks, and I adjusted my composition to include frosted tussocks and a small sheet of ice drifting in the water. It felt like a perfect companion piece. Just left of center, two white shapes float quietly—swans, heads down, starting their day.
