When Salmon Strike Back

This was one of those surprise images for me after I got home from Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park and Preserve. After an adventure, there are always images and moment highlights I can't wait to relive through my images. When I came across this image, I just smiled. It's not like something I had captured before. I love the salmon's tail and how it almost gives the illusion of eyebrows. I spent so much time waiting for these perfect moments I envision and hope for, and then, after the fact, I'm drawn to this image and the spontaneity of it.
