Triple Trouble

I silently watched as the cubs played with the flowers. The sow scanned the river for scraps of dead salmon or something slow enough to catch in the high water. It was a peaceful, serene scene until a boar came swimming up to the shore. The sow huffed. All three cubs suctioned to their mother like two magnets. The cubs watched the boar and their mother intently. The boar ended up back in the water, swimming around and away from the family. This was taken at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park in Preserve. This gorgeous sow cared for her cubs and spent most of her time protected at the mouth of the river in the forest, feeding on scraps and salmon she could steal.
