Sunset Stroll

After days and days of rain, we were rewarded! It was that magical, golden hour. I wish it had lasted a whole hour, but never in my life have I seen the sky and mountains shine in such a warm, golden yellow hue. We were on the coast in Lake Clark National Park. Bears chomp on the sedge grass like cows in the Midwest of America. A sow and her older cubs woke from their nap on a rocky outcropping above the beach. She entered the light first. I could see her breath after she exhaled. Glorious. Her cubs were waiting for her signal that the coast was clear. The sow stopped, and the cubs ran to catch up. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the bear family entered the sedge flats field. A perfect way to end an evening and experience out in Lake Clark.
